‘Admiration’ was born from a photo I captured at the Margert Olley and Ben Quilty Exhibition in Brisbane called ‘A Generous Life’. I captured this woman completely captivated, admiring the detail and feeling of the artwork. I was inspired to create this artwork in appreciation and to show my gratitude to the arts and all creatives in the world. This piece has further inspired me to build a body of work called ‘Admiration’ that aims to capture the experience of the viewer in the scene, admiring the beauty around them. This piece was selected as a finalist in the Queensland Figurative Art Prize and also received a commendation. The standard frame sized, fine art prints are created on archival art paper and printed with colour fast inks to last years.
